Paramore’s Return with “Monster”

With a little less pep in their step, Paramore finally releases “Monster” after their short hiatus. Paramore still rings in with the plead for love, “I’ll stop the whole world from turning into a monster eating us alive,” but “Monster” leaves fans to question if Paramore will strike as many high chords. Santigold and Vans Debut New Shoe

Brooklyn electro-rock composer Santi White (better known by her stage name, Santigold), has teamed up with skater apparel line Vans to create her own shoe. The new shoe, a predecessor to her forthcoming sophomore album, sports the silhouette of a high-top, and features perforated full-grain leather plus faux gold-chain accents. The look becomes complete with a custom SG gold pin created with the trained eye of jewelry designer Jules Kim of Bijules.  The Vans x Santigold Tosha Hi begins shipping to stores February 1, 2011.

Guitar Girls Undercover: All-Girl, Chick-Pop Cover Band to Make Debut at GRGR Show Dec. 9

Combine four girls, four mics, four instruments and a whole slew of chick covers by the likes of Katy Perry, The Bangles and Lady GaGa. The result? Guitar Girls Undercover, the new band featuring lead vocalist/guitarist (and Berklee alum) Michelle Vento, bassist Renee Jarusinsky, lead guitarist Marisa “Mini” Torrieri, and drummer Andrea Kamins.
